Daily Banger: Jay-Z - Hello Brooklyn (Feat Lil Wayne)
Yea, I made a funny face too when I saw this on the album. Now, I’m not a Wayne hater (I do think it’s wierd that he kisses Baby) and I agree that he’s the hardest working rapper out there, but no way near the greatest alive. As long as Jay is alive and rapping (even if it’s every 3 years) he remains the greatest, as he clearly shows on this track, there’s just no comparison. So, I really wanted to hate on this song because I didn’t think it was right with all the other talented native Brooklyn MCs out there, but I have to admit the sample/beat (big ups to the Beastie Boys) is sick and Jay-Z had no choice but to ask for this track from Wayne. I mean, “Cough up a lung, where I’m from, Marcy son, Ain’t nothing nice / I been many places but I’m Brooklynn’s own” Enjoy!
