It’s almost football time again! This weekend’s NFL draft was pretty exciting as JaMarcus Russell went #1 to the Oakland Raiders, and of course the biggest story was Brady Quinn’s slide to the #22 spot. But, in the end he ended up where he wanted to be, in Cleveland. There are a lot of players that I want to watch this year, Russell, Calvin Johnson, Peterson, Okoye, Quinn, and Jarrett just to name a few. The Redskins finally had a pick this year and they took La Ron Landry from LSU. After watching some of his highlight film and the quality hits he puts on people, look out folks, Sean Taylor and Landry are going to break some necks. And now for the worst pick of the draft, it would have to be Miami’s #9 selection of Ted Ginn, Jr, wow! Now, everyone can use a speedy receiver, but who the hell is going to throw him the ball, Leo Clemon? Also, the Patriots just picked up Randy Moss, Brady and Moss?, that’s a sick combo. The Patriots have had the best off-season by far and it looks as if they’re on their way to another championship. It’s definitely going to be an interesting year and I wonder what impact this draft will have on my upcoming fantasy football season, hmm, time to start planning.
